Tuesday 4th March.
Hello boys and girls!
It’s a pity (very sad) that I have to get angry so that you do homework! But it works! (has
a result), except for Players 2 and 4. If you continue
like that I’ll have to talk to your parents.
To the rest of you, well done! Especially to Player 7. Good homework
and good behaviour today!
So, those who did homework got 1 point
and the best homework got 2 points.
We finished talking about food, for the moment. You made questions
for a “food trivia” so as to review vocabulary
we had learnt about food.
·
Can you name five
dishes you have for
starters?
·
What’s porridge?
·
What’s paella made from?
·
What’s green
outside, red inside and you have it in summer?
·
Name seven items
of food. Each one has to start with one of the letters in the alphabet up to
letter “g”, that is, the first one beginning (starting) with “a”, the second with “b”, the
third with “c” and so on. (Etc.)
·
What food grows in the forest
and it’s sometimes poisonous?
·
Say two foods that taste sour?
·
What tastes sweet?
·
Name four things you put in “Green salad”.
·
How do you make
spaghetti Bolognese?
·
Say three vegetarian dishes.
Some of your questions were really smart! (clever)
The winners of our Trivia got three points; the players in the second
place, two and the last ones, one point.
We finished the class talking about the weather…
·
What’s the
weather like today?
·
What was the
weather like yesterday?
·
What kind of
weather do you prefer? Why?
·
What’s your
favourite season?
·
What do you
usually do when it’s rainy?
·
What do you do
when it’s snowy?
…and the things we can or can’t do depending on the different kinds of
weather.
·
What can you do
when it’s rainy?
·
You can go to the cinema with your friends and you don’t get wet!
·
You can sing in the rain!
·
But you can’t
make a snowman!
For homework don’t forget to write about ten lines telling me what your favourite
season is and why you like it.
We had 11 words to spell. 9 out of 11 was 3 points;
10 out of 11 was 4 points and 11 out of 11 was 5 points.
Don’t forget how to spell these words:
Rainy, snowy, windy, cloudy, sunny, stormy, blow,
shine, thunder, lightning, boiling, freezing, warm.
